Supercars

With the advancement of automotive technology, we have an abundance of options when it comes to cutting-edge supercars in 2024.

The design has evolved, and it is possible to get very technical about which category certain models fall into, but if the car in question consistently wears an iconic badge, is incredibly powerful, appears to be from another planet, and is proudly hung on many bedroom walls, it easily qualifies as a supercar.

Take a peek at our top choices for supercars for 2024—they're all excellent—in no particular order. (Photos courtesy of the manufacturers of each item).

  • McLaren 750S

  • Porche 911 GT3 RS

  • Lamborghini Revuelto

  • Ferrari 296 GTB

  • Maserati MC20

  • Lamborghini Huracan Technica

  • McLaren Artura

  • Porche 911 Turbo S

  • Audi R8

  • Aston Martin Valour

McLaren 750S

Every chance they have, McLaren likes to take their supercars to the next level. And they have undoubtedly accomplished that with the 750S.

With a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine generating 740bhp, the 750S can reach 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 206 mph. It is impossible to dispute the 750S's credentials as a supercar.

Its classic McLaren dramatic style and its ultra-lightweight combine to create an astonishingly precise handling experience. It also looks amazing. The carbon body of the 750S is equipped with trick aerodynamics, such as an active rear wing that enhances downforce and helps the car achieve optimal aerodynamic performance.

Interestingly, there is a Spider version as well that is equally quick.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

With 518 horsepower, a 3.2-second 0 to 62-mph time, a massive rear wing that makes a statement, and exclusivity, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS checks all the boxes for a supercar.

While the Porsche 911 is undoubtedly a sports car icon, the GT3 RS elevates the game when Porsche's RS division applies its expertise to it.

It is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after supercars of 2024; demand will make these vehicles valuable above list prices. Even though it seems cliche, the GT3 RS is essentially a road racing vehicle. Since it's a Porsche, it will go to and from the track with the utmost ease, even if it draws attention from bystanders along the way.

Lamborghini Revuelto

What a way to debut Lamborghini's first hybrid supercar. With a peak speed of 217 mph, the 1001 horsepower Revuelto can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in under 2.5 seconds.

It had to be unique because it is the new Lamborghini flagship, and it still has a harmonious V12 engine connected to three electric motors.

Indeed, you can operate it in entirely electric mode, which is perfect for those moments when you want to be understated—something that is nearly hard in this gorgeous, classic supercar with the recognizable bull on the bonnet.

Ferrari 296 GTB

Another illustrious, archetypal name in the supercar industry is Ferrari, which produces the superb 296 GTB. It's another outstanding achievement for the unique vehicles that grace the Cavallino Rampante (Prancing Horse).

The 296 GTB's hybrid status is derived from this engine, which is Ferrari's first-ever V6 road engine combined with an electric motor. With a total power output of 830 horsepower, the outcome is excellent; acceleration from 0 to 62 mph takes only 2.9 seconds, and the maximum speed is 205 mph.

Ferrari demonstrated that, when combined with electric power, a smaller engine can yield significant performance gains in the supercar class. There is also a GTS variant for those who would rather drive their supercar outside.

Maserati MC20

The Maserati MC20 is still among the greatest supercars available in 2024, even if it will go on sale in 2022.

Maserati calls the MC20 a super sports car, but with its pop-up doors, incredibly svelte lines, F1-derived engine, and carbon fiber monocoque, it's a supercar.

With a displacement of 3.0 liters and twin-turbo six-cylinder power, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in a mere 2.9 seconds. Additionally, there is a Cielo (roadster) version available if that's more your style.

Lamborghini Huracán Technica

The Lamborghini Huracán has been in production for ten years, and during that time, several iterations have been released to show off the vehicle's development.

The Technica, which debuted in 2022, is positioned between the track-focused STO and the Evo RWD version of the Huracán as a run-out special.

The Huracán has been improved to guarantee that its supercar reputation has not been compromised in the slightest, even though the foundations have been solidified for ten years. This is because of the magnificent V10 engine's 631 horsepower, which guarantees Lamborghini's customary spectacular perfection. It can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.2 seconds.

Since it's a Lamborghini, there's no shortage of appropriate drama and excitement. (Photo by permission of Lamborghini).

McLaren Artura

Supercars are something McLaren is good at, and the Artura is the brand's first hybrid V6 supercar.

Like every other hybrid supercar on this list, it makes sure that being electric improves the overall supercar experience.

The McLaren Artura can therefore accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.0 seconds thanks to hybrid technology that comes from its hypercar icon, the McLaren P1 sister.

Efficient weight and Formula One expertise are abundant, and adhering to the regulations for supercars, the Artura appears extraordinary. If you'd rather, there's also an Artura Spider version, just like a few vehicles on this list.

Porsche 911 Turbo S

The 911 Turbo S, another Porsche 911 on our list, is maybe the greatest daily supercar out there. The 911 Turbo S is the only vehicle you need to consider if you're looking for supercar speed that you can use most of the time, even though it may not be as sleek and distinctive as some other vehicles on this list.

With 641bhp, it is more powerful than its GT3 RS sister and accelerates more quickly—it takes just 2.7 seconds to go from 0 to 62 miles per hour.

Naturally, the all-wheel drive system contributes to this incredibly quick acceleration and allows the Turbo S to be driven safely in any type of weather throughout the year. It is referred to by many as the ideal daily supercar.

Audi R8

Another vehicle is occasionally referred to as a supercar or sports car, but we think the latter term fits better, particularly in its most recent iteration.

With its amazing V10 engine, the mid-engined R8 can reach 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

With its distinctive side blade, which typically contrasts with the R8's exterior color, the original Audi R8 instantly became a design icon when it debuted in 2006. Like the Porsche 911, the Audi R8 is praised by many for being an excellent daily supercar. The side blade is still present, although it is now often body colored.

They also come with the recognizable Quattro all-wheel drive, or a rear-wheel drive variant for those who prefer a more unadulterated ride too.

Aston Martin Valour

The extremely restricted Aston Martin Valour models were first unveiled in 2023, but they won't start to appear on UK roads until 2024. It's one of the rarest and priciest items on our list, with only 110 available. Due to their exclusivity, Valors are certain to always be obstructed by cameras and other devices wherever they travel.

The Valour is an incredibly rare supercar, featuring a classic style reminiscent of 1970s Aston Martin race cars expertly fashioned into a contemporary carbon body. It also features the ideal combination, with an exuberant Aston Martin V12 engine that produces an incredible 705bhp and a six-speed manual gearbox.

A manual supercar with more than 700 horsepower will always be something remarkable in a world where manual gearboxes are becoming increasingly uncommon.
